The Taipei Fashion Week SS26 will take place from Oct. 16 to 20. On Sept. 22, the Ministry of Culture (MOC) unveiled this season’s main visual, “Fashion, Action!”, which transforms the entire event into an exhilarating cinematic experience. In this concept, the audience is no longer a bystander but steps directly into an unfolding fashion movie. Lights, cameras, and runways become narrative elements, and each turn of a garment marks the beginning of a new scene.

The season’s key visual reimagines a traditional fashion show as an engaging drama production. Directors, cinematographers, stylists, and art directors shine in striking fashion reinterpretations, joined by actress Yu-Wei Shao (邵雨薇) leading the scene. Styled like drama posters, the imagery unfolds in montage, with hidden props from the six featured dramas serving as Easter eggs waiting for audiences to discover, bridging fashion and screen culture with playful intertextuality.

For this edition, six designers have been invited to create exclusive runway looks inspired by six iconic Taiwanese dramas: “The Outlaw Doctor (化外之醫),” “The Cleaner (人生清理員),” “Us Without Sex (今夜一起為愛鼓掌),” “Tabloid (死了一個娛樂女記者),” “The World Between Us II (我們與惡的距離II),” and “Holi-Day (拜六禮拜).” These collaborations echo the recent rise of Taiwanese dramas that spotlight everyday lives, professional spheres, and the deeper shades of human nature—showcasing a dialogue between Taiwan’s screen culture and its fashion creativity.

Taipei Fashion Week SS26 is more than a showcase of clothing—it is a collaborative stage, uniting designers, artists, artisans, media, and audiences. By weaving theatrical expression into the language of fashion, this season presents a new narrative for Taiwan’s creative energy.
