⭐ Pinky promise/Pinky swear ⭐ (打勾勾)
在傳統上, 勾小指被認為是具有約束力的, 等同於雙方達成協議的握手, 這個手勢在英語系國家也通用唷! 小拇指的英文除了叫 little finger 之外, 也可以叫做 pinky finger。而promise和swear都是承諾和誓言的意思, 所以「pinky promise」或 「pinky swear 」都是透過打勾勾立下誓約的意思。我們會說「make a pinky promise/swear」。
例子
1. I made a pinky promise to her saying I would not tell anyone her secret.
(我和她打過勾勾, 保證我絕對不把她的秘密告訴任何人)
2. Pinky swear you will not go into my bedroom without my permission.
