三個貝里斯Belize 的小常識：
貝里斯位於中美洲東岸。面積大概是23000平方公里，總人口約為39萬人。
Belize locates on the eastern coast of Central America. It’s about two-thirds the size of Taiwan with a population of 390 thousand.
雖然貝里斯的官方語言是英文，但貝里斯的多元文化也造就了它多重語言的特性。
The multilingualism in Belize reflects the country’s diverse history and cultural influences.
西元前的馬雅文明延續至今讓部份的貝里斯人會講馬雅文；歐洲殖民時期帶來中美洲的加勒比黑人會講克里奧文及英文；由於鄰近許多講西班牙文的中美洲國家，許多貝里斯人也會講西班牙文。
The descendants of indigenous Mayans speak a variety of Maya languages; the Afro-Caribbean population whose ancestors were African slaves brought to the country by European colonizers speak English and Creole. Spanish is also widely spoken in Belize due to the country’s proximity to Spanish-speaking countries in Central America.
貝里斯的ATM洞窟是中美洲最大的洞窟系統，洞窟內有豐富的陶器及人類遺骸為主的古代瑪雅文物。
Belize is home to the largest cave system in Central America, known as the Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave. The cave is home to a number of ancient Maya artifacts, including pottery and human remains.
