回想起求學經歷，陳道杰表示，因為喜愛動物而考入獸醫系，但未全心專注在獸醫學科的領域，因為從5歲開始接觸小提琴，對小提琴有著深厚的感情，「小提琴是我的舊愛，而獸醫是新歡」

Recalling his study experience, Chen Daojie said that he was admitted to the veterinary department because he loved animals, but he did not focus on the field of veterinary medicine. He had been playing the violin since he was 5 years old and had a deep affection for it. "The violin was my old love, and veterinary medicine is my new love."
